Vesper Energy has been named to TIME’s America’s Top GreenTech Companies of 2026, a list recognizing 250 U.S.-based organizations developing technologies, products, and services that address environmental challenges while demonstrating strong business performance. Within the list’s renewable energy category, Vesper ranks among the top 40 companies nationwide.
The list, compiled by TIME in partnership with Statista, is based on an analysis of more than 3,500 companies. Rankings reflect performance across three core areas: environmental impact, financial strength, and innovation.
The recognition comes as demand for reliable, domestically generated power continues to rise. Across the United States, electricity needs are increasing alongside industrial growth and data infrastructure, placing new emphasis on projects that can be delivered at scale and operate consistently within existing grid systems.
Vesper’s portfolio reflects that focus on execution. In 2025, the company brought its flagship Hornet Solar project in Swisher County, Texas, into full operation. Spanning more than six square miles and delivering 600 MW of capacity, the project stands among the largest single-phase solar installations in the country. In its first year of operation, Hornet Solar generated more than 1.5 million megawatt-hours of electricity, enough to power more than 160,000 homes, while contributing millions of dollars in tax revenue to local schools, hospitals, and public services.
Vesper’s active development pipeline exceeds 11,000 megawatts across more than 35 projects spanning CAISO, ERCOT, MISO, PJM, SPP, and WECC, reflecting continued investment in utility-scale generation and storage assets across major U.S. power markets.
As energy demand grows and grid needs evolve, companies on this year’s list are influencing how large-scale power is developed, financed, and delivered. View the full list of America’s Top GreenTech Companies of 2026 here.
