We are searching for a methodical, self-directed, and analytically sharp leader to oversee the interconnection process across markets (ERCOT, MISO, PJM, CAISO, SPP, and WECC.). This is not a coordinator role. This is about leading interconnection strategy from request through agreement, mitigating risk, and aligning internal stakeholders around execution, timelines, and market realities.
You’ll need to be equal parts tactician and strategist; comfortable with technical design, stakeholder negotiation, and regulatory frameworks. You’re the type who doesn’t just track the status of interconnection agreements, you anticipate what’s next and act before others know there’s a problem.

What You’ll Own
- Lead the full interconnection process for Vesper’s pipeline across ERCOT, MISO, PJM, CAISO, SPP, and WECC, and beyond
- Proactively manage milestone tracking, queue progress, and interconnection strategies by project
- Serve as the primary interface with ISOs, utilities, consultants, and internal teams
- Analyze study results, determine cost/schedule impacts, and develop risk-adjusted strategies
- Regularly update project-specific strategies and ensure they align with Vesper’s commercial objectives
- Participate in stakeholder groups and regulatory forums to stay ahead of market changes
- Support M&A diligence and operational strategy with interconnection expertise
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)
- PMP or Six Sigma certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in interconnection, utilities, RTO/ISO, or related consulting
- Deep working knowledge of interconnection regulations and application processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Skilled in interconnection tools, models, and systems analysis
- Clear commitment to advancing clean energy infrastructure
