Vesper Energy is hiring two seasoned Senior Interconnection managers to oversee the interconnection process for our project development pipeline. One position is focused on the East region, and the other on the West. These roles will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, managing all aspects of interconnection, including filing requests, tracking project progress, and coordinating design, scheduling, and cost details with system operators and transmission owners. These managers will also ensure interconnection agreement milestones are met in collaboration with various groups.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred).
- PMP and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with preference for those with electric utility, ISO, RTO, or consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of interconnection processes, requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage interconnection applications, agreements, and associated activities.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in software tools for interconnection and grid analysis.
- Passionate about sustainability and advancing renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply regional expertise to expedite interconnection milestones and drive cost efficiencies.
- Analyze interconnection study results, estimate costs, and assess the scheduling impact on project timelines and costs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for interconnection consultants, utilities, ISOs, and RTOs.
- Continuously update interconnection strategies for active projects within Vesper’s portfolio.
- Provide commercial and strategic insight, alongside senior management, on the company’s development pipeline, M&A opportunities, and operational assets.
- Actively participate in ISO/RTO stakeholder meetings and stay up to date on relevant reforms.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
