Purpose:

Vesper Energy seeking a finance associate to contribute to the daily operational support various project financing initiatives, including construction loans, term loans, letters of credit, tax equity fundings, M&A, pricing decisions, and portfolio management.

Desired Educational Level:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a solar or wind energy development, banking, or investment setting
  • Knowledge of solar and storage project economics and proficiency in financial modeling
  • Highly desired experience in construction loans, term loans, and tax equity structuring/modeling 
  • Additional experience in deal execution is a valuable asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages day-to-day operations of the project financing program.
  • Takes charge of financial modeling for project financing and pricing.
  • Plays a key role in deal execution, overseeing bank/investor due diligence, collaborating with external consultants, and facilitating closures.
  • Supports M&A efforts, handling due diligence, managing data rooms, and conducting financial modeling. Administers loan and tax equity documents throughout construction and funding phases.
  • Prepares presentation materials for Vesper’s board of directors, detailing project economics and financing status.
